Davidson dumps College of Charleston, 75-59
Jake Cohen scored a career-high 32 points and Chris Czerapowicz added 14 points to lead Davidson past the College of Charleston, 75-59, tonight before a crowd of more than 5,000 at TD Arena.
With the victory, the Wildcats (18-7, 13-1 in SoCon) all but assured themselves of the Southern Conference’s South Division title with less than a month left in the regular-season. The Cougars, who are in second place in the SoCon’s South Division, fell to 18-8 and 10-4.
Cohen connected on 13 of 24 shots, including three of seven from 3-point range against the top scoring defense in the league.
The Cougars were led by Trent Wiedeman and Andrew Lawrence with 10 points.
Davidson’s De’Mon Brooks, the reigning Southern Conference’s player of the year, spent most of the game on the bench in foul trouble.
