James Island man charged with attempted murder after man beaten and shot
A James Island man has been arrested after a man was beaten and shot Sunday.
Tim M. Wright, 27, of Fort Johnson Road was arrested Wednesday night and charged with attempted murder, according to Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady.
Deputies were called to 1061 Greenhill Road on James Island shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday to check out a report of shots fired. John D. Watson and Wright’s former girlfriend said Wright beat Watson with a pistol, shot him twice and fled in a silver vehicle, according to a detective’s affidavit.
Wright is being held in the Charleston County jail on $150,000 bail.
