Charleston’s first new hotel development in more than 10 years is now open for business.

The 120-room Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown, part of InterContinental Hotels, opened Wednesday at 425 Meeting St.

The five-story hotel includes three full suites and 23 specialty rooms with private patios.

“We are proud to welcome the Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown to the Holiday Inn brand family,” said Jim Anhut of IHG. “Charleston is a key market where we believe this new Holiday Inn hotel will thrive.”
