Police release photo of man they say used stolen credit
Charleston police are looking for a man they say used a stolen credit card to try to buy gas.
Police released surveillance photos from the Shell Station at 737 King St. showing a man using a credit card from a vehicle that was reported stolen. The photos were taken about 4:18 a.m. Saturday.
The man tried to buy $55 worth of gasoline, but the card was declined, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The man is described as black, wearing a blue jacket, white or gray hooded sweatshirt, green pants, white shoes, and a brown cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call Charleston police at 577-7434 or leave an anonymous tip at Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
