Man charged with burglarizing a Johns Island veterinary clinic
Charleston police on Sunday arrested a man who they say burglarized a Johns Island veterinary clinic.
James Anthony Cooper, 41, of Dartmouth Drive, was charged with second-degree burglary in connection with the incident, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
On Feb. 7, Cooper shattered the front glass doors of the Riverbank Veterinary Clinic, 2814 Maybank Highway, and stole money from a lockbox, Francis said.
Cooper was out on bond after he burglarized Wellness Plus, 1001 Physicians Drive, on Nov. 7, Francis said. He is on probation for another burglary.
Police are still investigating the case, Francis said.
