NWTF HUNTING HERITAGE BANQUET: The Swamp Fox chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its 29th annual Hunting Heritage Banquet March 2 at the Ladson Fairgrounds. NWTF spokesman and television host Michael Waddell will be a special guest. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person or $300 for sponsors. CHARLESTON INSHORE ANGLERS SHEEPSHEAD TOURNAMENT: The 21st annual Charleston Inshore Anglers Sheepshead Tournament will be fished April 27. Registration and captain’s meeting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 25 at Castaways Grille, located at 1291 Folly Road. Prizes will be awarded for the top 10 places and top three youth.

SHOW AND TALE CONTEST: The Charleston Angler is holding a “Show and Tale” fishing photo and story contest through Feb. 22. Participants must submit three photos and stories are 500 words or less. Winners will be announced at the March 2 Spring Fling with awards will be presented for the top male angler, lady angler, youth angler and non-resident. Contact shane@thecharleston angler.com.

HADDRELL’S POINT PHOTO CONTEST: Haddrell’s Point Tackle is holding a photo contest through Feb. 28. Entries must include the new Haddrell’s Point logo and submitted to Haddrell’s Point’s Facebook page. There will be prizes for the top three photos.

FLY FISHING FILM TOUR: The Charleston Angler will hold its Fly Fishing Film Tour 2013 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. March 2 at the Terrace Theater on James Island.
