Seven South Carolina players have been invited to the NFL Combine to be held Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.

USC’s invitations went to tight end Justice Cunningham, outside linebacker/strong safety DeVonte Holloman, center T.J. Johnson, running back Marcus Lattimore, wide receiver Ace Sanders, free safety D.J. Swearinger and defensive end Devin Taylor.

Lattimore and Sanders are the only USC players to leave school early from last season’s team. Both had a year of eligibility remaining.

Lattimore will not be able to participate in drills at the combine because he still is rehabbing a serious right knee injury suffered Oct. 27 against Tennessee. But he will do interviews with teams and be examined by their medical staffs — a critical part of determining where he could be drafted.

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. said Lattimore, when healthy, is the best running back available in this draft. The draft is April 25-27 in New York.
