ID theft protection to be discussed in N. Charleston tonight
A former FBI agent who is an expert in online security and computer forensics is scheduled to speak tonight in North Charleston about protecting against identity theft.
The talk by Alfred L. Johnson of JLA Investigations & Security takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at 4925 Lacross Road, Suite 105, near City Hall.
Among the topics to be discussed are mobile malware, which can wreak havoc on a wireless phone, and tips on smartphone usage, as well as an update on the S.C. Department of Revenue security breach.
The talk is part of the nonprofit Family Services Inc.’s monthly Credit Club program.
