CLEMSON — Signing day will hold significant drama for the Clemson football staff as three key prospect targets — all ranked in ESPNU’s top 150 — will make televised announcements.

Clemson’s top target — five-star rated defensive tackle Montravius Adams — will reveal his college choice at 9 a.m. on ESPNU. Clemson and Georgia are considered favorites.

He would be considered the top prospect in Clemson’s class if he signs.

One of the nation’s top cornerback prospects, Mackensie Alexander, ESPN’s No. 4 overall prospect, will choose between Auburn, Clemson, Mississippi State and Texas A&M at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.

Clemson needs help in its defensive backfield.

ESPN’s No. 125 overall prospect, guard Tyrone Crowder, will choose between Clemson and Georgia at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.

Clemson’s class ranks 20th at Rivals.com and is ranked 18th in the country by Scout.com.

Hearn commits

Clemson received a commitment for its 2014 class Monday from 6-5, 305-pound offensive tackle Taylor Hearn, according to TigerIllustrated.com. The Williston-Elko product is the fifth commitment in Clemson’s 2014 class, which already contains three four-star prospects.

Hearn also had an offer from North Carolina.
