Bid for Coleman work approved

MOUNT PLEASANT ‑‑ Town council members today approved a $520,874 contract with Gulfstream Construction for the first phase of Coleman Boulevard’s revitalization.

The work could begin by month’s end between Fairmont Avenue and Pherigo Street. Gulfstream would be expected to finish in about two months, shortly after the Cooper River Bridge Run.

The first phase will add bike lanes, upgrade sidewalks, onstreet parking and new landscaping along part of Coleman where the Boulevard, a large residential and commercial project, is under construction.
