PIEDMONT — Authorities say Piedmont woman wanted on breach of trust charges tried to kill herself and her 10-year-old daughter.

Anderson County sheriff’s deputies say they went to an apartment last week to serve a warrant accusing 43-year-old Julie Ann Kelley of taking thousands of dollars from the Greenville Hospital System Credit Union.

They found Kelley and her daughter both unresponsive in a bedroom, along with a note supposedly written by the woman.

Deputies say Kelley and her daughter were taken to the hospital and treated for overdoses of prescription medication.

Authorities say Kelley’s daughter has been released from the hospital and is staying with relatives.

Kelley has been charged with attempted murder. It was not known if she had an attorney.
