A Moncks Corner man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night.

Alonzo Wendell McGee, 49, of Moncks Corner was riding his motorcycle on Old Back River Road in Goose Creek about 8:30 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a curve, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said today.

A resident found him in a yard and called 911, Salisbury said.

McGee was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. His death was ruled accidental from head and body trauma. McGee was riding a 1997 Yamaha and not wearing a helmet, according to the Highway Patrol.
