Fast-growing, locally based software company SPARC is taking its sales pitch to the soccer pitch by teaming up with the Charleston Battery.
The firm’s multiyear partnership includes the title sponsorship of the Battery’s new team jerseys, which will be unveiled Feb. 15.
The Nike-made pullovers will feature the term SPARCET, which is a free software platform that businesses can use to recognize employees for a job well done.
Also, SPARC is building the team’s new website that goes live Feb. 15 and said it will take “an active role in helping the Battery expand its digital reach.”
Terms of the sponsorship deal were not disclosed.
The region’s professional soccer team will be sporting the new look for the first time in the Feb. 16 opening match of the Carolina Challenge Cup at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.
The Battery’s jersey sponsor for the past four years had been avVenta Worldwide, a New York-based digital marketing agency that was founded in Mount Pleasant and still main- tains an office on Long Point Road.
In all, its shaping up to be an eventful month for SPARC, which today breaks ground on a major expansion of its Clements Ferry Road campus near Wando.
Gov. Nikki Haley confirmed her attendance Friday.
