Citadel rallies from 18 points down in second half for 84-79 win at Furman

GREENVILLE — Down by 18 points early in the second half, The Citadel rallied for an 84-79 victory at Furman today, one of the largest second-half comebacks in Bulldogs’ basketball history.

P.J. Horgan scored a career-best 23 points for The Citadel, which has won two-straight for the first time since mid-November. Mike Groselle added 19 as the Bulldogs improved to 6-15 overall and 3-8 in the Southern Conference.

Ashton Moore scored 14 points, Matt Van Scyoc 13 and Marshall Harris 11 for the Bulldogs, who outscored Furman (6-14, 3-6) by 60-39 in the second half.
