College of Charleston downs UNCG, 81-59
Andrew Lawrence scored 17 points to lead five players in double-figures as the College of Charleston defeated UNC Greensboro, 81-59, tonight before a crowd of 4,500 at TD Arena.
The Cougars, winners of four straight games, improved to 16-7 and 8-3 in the Southern Conference. The Spartans fell to 6-15 and 4-6.
Trent Wiedeman finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Willis Hall added 12 points and nine rebounds, while Antony Stitt had 10 points and Adjehi Baru had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Cougars, who led 37-24 at halftime, made nine of 16 3-point attempts and held the Spartans to 33.3 percent shooting from the floor.
