Ashley Ridge High evacuated after bomb threat
Ashley Ridge High School students missed about an hour of school today after someone reported a bomb threat.
Authorities evacuated the Summerville-area school about 11:45 a.m. after they received a “communication” about a bombb threat, according to Dorchester County District 2 spokeswoman Pat Raynor. Deputies and the bomb squad searched the school thoroughly but didn’t find anything.
Students were allowed back in about 12:45 p.m. after the threat was determined to be a hoax, she said.
