The Southern Conference hasn’t yet figured out how it will replace College of Charleston, departing next year for the Colonial Athletic Association.

But the SoCon has decided how it will play men’s basketball without the Cougars next season.

SoCon teams will play a 16-game league slate with 11 teams and no divisions in 2013-14, commissioner John Iamarino said today.

All 11 teams will advance to the SoCon tourney, he said.

This season, the 12 SoCon teams are each playing an 18-game league schedule and are divided into North and South Divisions.
