Locally based software company SPARC is teaming up with the Charleston Battery professional soccer team.

The firm’s multiyear partnership includes the title sponsorship of the Battery’s jerseys, which will be unveiled Feb. 15. Also, SPARC is building the team’s new interactive website and said it will take “an active role in helping the Battery expand its digital reach.” The new site will be launched Feb. 15.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a successful local organization like the Charleston Battery,” SPARC CEO Eric Bowman said in statement. “The Battery’s impact on the Charleston community is widespread, and reflects so many of the wonderful things this city brings to the table.”

The team will don the new jersey for the first time in the opening match of the Carolina Challenge Cup against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Feb. 16 at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

Terms of the sponsorship deal were not disclosed.
