Andrew Lawrence scored 16 points and Anthony Thomas added a career-high 14 points to lead the College of Charleston past Appalachian State, 72-59, tonight before a crowd of about 3,000 at TD Arena.
It was the third-straight win for the Cougars, who improved to 15-7 overall and 7-3 in the Southern Conference. The Mountaineers fell to 8-12 and 4-5.
Thomas, who started his career at Appalachian State, was six of 10 from the floor and added seven rebounds and an assist.
The Cougars will face UNC-G Saturday night at 7 p.m. at TD Arena.
