Lanes on Interstate 526 open again after wreck
All the lanes of I-526 are open again after a wreck closed the interstate near Leeds Avenue to evening rush-hour traffic.
A motorcycle ran into the back of a pickup truck that was slowing down about 5:10 p.m., according to Charleston police. The accident happened in the eastbound lanes but closed lanes on both sides while emergency crews responded.
The motorcycle rider was taken to Medical University Hospital with injuries not considering life threatening, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
