Affordable veterans housing coming to Charleston

CHARLESTON — A new project to construct affordable housing for veterans is ready for launch in Charleston.

The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation is scheduled to announce Tuesday that a local group called PASTORS is getting a matching grant to help build the housing.

Mayor Joe Riley, officials of Wells Fargo, representatives of a Charleston group called PASTORS and a representative of the Department of Veterans Affairs are scheduled to attend the announcement.
