Small quake recorded in Summerville

A small earthquake jolted Summerville and surrounding areas this morning.

The United States Geological Survey recorded the quake as having a 1.4 magnitude at 4:17 a.m.

The quake’s epicenter was about 5 miles from Summerville, 5 miles from Lincolnville and 6 miles from Ladson.
