Sangaree woman arrested again after meth bust
A Sangree woman has been arrested for the second time in two months after a meth bust that also netted two other people at her house today.
Sharon Lynn Haynes, 44, of 1827 Eastside St. was arrested along with Jonathan Haynes, 23, and Temera Scott, 22, of the same address. Sharon Haynes and Scott were charged with possession of methamphetamine and attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. Jonathan Haynes was charged with first-degree burglary and possession of marijuana and meth. They are being held in the Berkeley County jail.
Sharon Lynn Haynes was arrested at the same house Nov. 21 and charged charged with possession of methamphetamine and attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. She was released on $7,500 bail after that arrest.
Today’s arrests came after Berkeley County deputies who were following a lead on a possible burglary suspect searched the house, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Moon said. Deputies found a meth lab and other drugs, including methamphetamine inside a soda bottle that was shaken as it cooked, Moon said.
Moon said the so-called “shake and bake” method is becoming more common but is very dangerous.
The house is off Royle Road, just a few blocks south of heavily traveled U.S. Highway 17-A east of Summerville.Reach Dave Munday at 937-5553 or twitter.com/dmunday.
