A Summerville bank was robbed today, and police have released surveillance photos.

A man walked into the First Citizens Bank at 1319 North Main St. about 2:50 p.m. today and demanded money, Summerville Police Capt. Jon Rogers said. The man did not display a weapon. A clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he walked out.

One customer was inside the bank at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported, Rogers said.

The man is described as a white male 30-40 years old, weighing about 250 pounds, about 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call Summerville police at 851-4100 or leave an anonymous tip at Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
