CREEKSIDE BASSMASTERS: Dwayne Reine caught five bass that weighed 17.25 pounds to take first place in the Creekside Bassmasters’ January tournament fished out of Cypress Gardens Boat Landing. Sid Fowler Sr. was second with five bass that weighed 16.69 pounds and Sid Fowler Jr. was third with five fish that weighed 15.88 pounds, including the tournament’s big fish, 6.15 pounds.

SALTWATER SPORTSMAN SEMINAR: The Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series will return to Charleston Southern University’s Lightsey Auditorium on Feb. 9. Heading the seminar will be George Poveromo and Ric Burnley. Local speakers will include Capt. Chris Chavis, Capt. Graham Hegamyer, Capt. Dan Utley, Capt. Fred Rourk and Capt. Ben Alderman.
