CLEMSON - Clemson baseball will begin its 2013 season next month with unusually muted expectations.

The ACC coaches' preseason poll was revealed Friday, with Clemson picked to finish third in the Atlantic Division behind first-place N.C. State and Florida State.

Clemson lost three key underclassmen, top hitter in Richie Shaffer, a first-round pick, and weekend starters Kevin Brady and Dominic Leone, to pro baseball during the offseason. Clemson has advanced to four straight NCAA Tournaments appearances.

N.C. State, which returns ACC Pitcher and Freshman of the Year Carlos Rodon, along with preseason All-America infielder Trea Turner, was also tabbed as the overall ACC favorite. N.C. State received 10 first-place votes, Florida State and Clemson each received one.

NFL coach's son to visit Clemson:
The son of New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, Seth Ryan, will visit Clemson soon and has been offered a preferred walk-on spot, according to multiple reports.

Ryan is a receiver/defensive back for Summit (N.J.) High.
