Students take part in Arbor Day planting
Charleston Day School’s fifth-grade class participated in a tree-planting ceremony hosted by the Garden Club of Charleston. A holly tree was planted on The Gateway Walk, between Archdale and King streets, in downtown Charleston.
In addition to the Arbor Day Tree planting, the club also hosted a poetry contest. Charleston Day School fifth-grader Lyles Parsell won first place and fifth-grader Everett Davis took second.
