Police find 18 holes in car after shooting wounds 3 in Goose Creek

Two women suffered significant injuries and a man also was hurt after the car they were in was shot about 18 times this morning in Goose Creek, police reported.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. at the intersection of Red Bank Road and Howe Hall Road, according to a report from the Goose Creek Police Department.

Four people later showed up at Trident Medical Center, reporting that they had been shot at after visiting Club Pluto on Red Bank Road, the report states.

Injuries to two women sitting in the back seat of the Nissan Maxima — Jaytee Clavousea Bright, 19, of Gwinnett Street in North Charleston and Brittany Sharee Middleton, 21, of Fort Johnson Road in James Island — were described in the report as major.

Capt. John Grainger added that Middleton's chest injury required surgery, but her current status wasn't known.

Two men were sitting in the front of the car when the shooting happened: Andre Alphaes Seabrook, 26, of Apt Boulevard in North Charleston and Touvaruss Antrail Jones, 20, of Norden Street in North Charleston.

Jones told the police that he had been at the club and was riding in the car that Seabrook was driving when he heard gunfire.

Jones wasn't hurt, Grainger said. Seabrook suffered a minor injury either from bullets or flying glass.

The police reported finding 18 holes in the right side of the vehicle, which was later towed to Goose Creek police headquarters.

Grainger said that investigators have no suspects but that they think the vehicle occupants were not fully cooperating with the probe.
