Charleston County to hold voter ID seminar

Charleston County election officials will hold a seminar at 2 p.m. Wednesday to outline the state’s new voter ID requirements.

The seminar, which will be limited to the first 40 people who sign up, will be held at 4367 Headquarters Road in North Charleston.

South Carolina’s new voter ID law took effect Jan. 1, and its requirements that voters have a government-issued photo IDs will be in place for this spring’s 1st Congressional District elections.
