CLEMSON ó Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller, a former Clemson star, will play for the AFC in the Pro Bowl, Clemson announced today. It is Spillerís first Pro Bowl invite.
Spiller replaces Baltimore running back Ray Rice as one of three running backs on the AFC roster. Rice is playing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.
Spiller is the first Clemson running back to play in the Pro Bowl since Terry Allen in 1996. He is the third Clemson alum to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, joining Kevin Mack and Allen.
The Pro Bowl will be played at 7 p.m. on Jan. 27 (NBC) in Hawaii.
