Bail set at $300,000 for James Island man accused of kidnapping, criminal domestic violence
A judge set bail at $300,000 Saturday for a James Island man accused of holding his girlfriend against her will last week.
Christopher Glenn Mishowe, 34, of Meander Row has been charged with kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. Magistrate Judge Priscilla Baldwin set bail at $150,000 for each charge.
Mishowe had not posted bail as of Monday morning and still was in the Charleston County Detention Center.
Charleston police went to Mishowe’s house about 1:30 p.m. on Friday after a phone call that a man was holding his girlfriend against her will. SWAT members responded, and the situation ended about 3 p.m. when both occupants walked out without a struggle.
Mishowe has the same two charges pending against him from a 2011 incident.
