College of Charleston’s Baru earns Southern Conference player of week honor
College of Charleston sophomore forward Adjehi Baru was named Southern Conference men’s basketball player of the week for Jan. 8-14 by the league office on Tuesday.
Baru averaged 15.7 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 56.7 percent from the field as the Cougars went 2-1.

Patty Tykal’s 82 was low gross net and Marilyn Daly’s 68 was low net at 68 at CALGA’s tournament at Shadowmoss Plantation.
