A person died this morning from wounds received in what deputies say appears to be a hit-and-run wreck in West Ashley.
Deputies responded to 811 St. Andrews Blvd. shortly after midnight following reports of an injured person in the road, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
The person was fatally injured in the incident, which Brady said appeared to be a hit-and-run.
The Charleston County Traffic Division and the Charleston County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident, Brady said.
The Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the person killed.
Deputies do not have any information on a possible vehicle in the incident, Brady said.
