Though there was a dense fog advisory in effect until about 10 a.m., the sun was shining brightly in peninsular Charleston this morning.

The rest of the day is expected to be mostly cloudy, turning to partly cloudy, according to the National Weather Service. Highs should be in the upper 70s, except around 70 near the coast. There’ll be southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight should be mostly cloudy, with areas of fog and lows in the upper 50s. Sunday is forecast to be much like today, with some fog in the morning and highs in the upper 70s in the afternoon.
