SENECA, S.C. -- A Seneca man faces two charges of attempted murder after his parents said he struck his mother with a machete handle and tied electrical cord around his father's neck.
Seneca Police Chief John Covington says 27-year-old Bradley Hayne Williams was charged Friday after his parents said they were attacked Thursday afternoon.
The parents told investigators Williams became irate when his father criticized him for wasting food because he had to throw out chicken after he fell asleep while cooking it.
After obtaining warrants for Williams, Seneca police later found him while he was driving and arrested him after a traffic stop.
It wasn't clear Saturday if Williams has an attorney.
