Authorities say officers found a bit pull with blood on it in the home and the body of Betty Todd. She had been bitten in the neck, head and face.
The dog was aggressive toward deputies, but the animalís owner arrived and was able to get the dog into a room until an animal control officer could arrive.
Deputies say they likely wonít file charges in the case.
