Charleston fire officials are investigating a blaze on the peninsula that drove eight people from their home this morning.
The fire at 2234 Sunnyside Ave. displaced two adults and six children. The children range in age from 2 to 16 years old, according to the American Red Cross.
Red Cross volunteers assisted the family, providing them with temporary housing, money for food and other help, Red Cross spokeswoman Anne Rakip said.
