These two surveillance camera images show a robbery suspect at Reynolds Liquors in North Charleston (left) and Wholesale Liquors in West Ashley. Both robberies took place Dec. 21; police think the same person committed both crimes.

Detectives are asking for help finding a man suspected of holding up two liquor stores a few days before Christmas.

Surveillance photos appear to show the same man holding up Reynolds Liquors in North Charleston and Wholesale Liquors in West Ashley Dec. 21, according to Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady.

A man in a dark hoodie held up Reynolds Liquors at 3308 Rivers Ave. shortly before midnight.

Wholesale Liquors at 1610 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. was robbed about 1:15 p.m. the same day, Brady said. A man pointed a gun, possibly a .45 caliber, demanded money, and left with an undetermined amount of cash, Brady said. A dog followed the trail behind the store and then lost it, he said.

The robber is described as black, bald, weighing about 130 to 150 pounds, wearing a black or dark gray hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 670-6476 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
