Charleston police have released a composite sketch of a robber who held up a man in a restroom at Citadel Mall on Christmas Eve.
The holdup occurred in a bathroom in the Dillard’s wing of the wall, near the Palmetto Moon store, around 4:19 p.m. on Dec. 24, police said. The victim was minding his own business when a gunman with bad teeth cornered him in a stall and stole all his money, Charleston police said.
Police previously released a surveillance image of the suspect, a man in a black jacket with the word “Reds” emblazoned across the back.
Police are asking for help identifying the man in the image and the sketch. He is described the person as a black man with medium skin tone, a military=style haircut, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 28 to 30 years old. He is also said to have light, scruffy facial hair. He had a black and brown revolver.
Anyone with information on the suspect or the crime can call Det. Lauren Mulkey at 720-3034 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
