College of Charleston downs Vermont, 62-50

BURLINGTON, VT – College of Charleston guard Andrew Lawrence scored a game-high 21 points and Anthony Stitt added 19 points to lead the Cougars past Vermont, 62-50, Saturday afternoon at Patrick Gymnasium.

The Cougars (8-4) used a 10-4 run to end the game and improve to 4-0 on the road this season.

It was Lawrence’s fourth career 20-point effort as the senior went eight of 13 from the floor. Lawrence added five rebounds and five assists. Stitt was seven of 11 from the floor, including three of four from 3-point range.

College of Charleston forward Willis Hall added four points and 12 rebounds.

The Cougars will face Marist Monday afternoon.

Clancy Rugg led the Catamounts with 11 points.
