CONWAY, S.C. -- A Conway man has died after he was shot in the head while driving, then crashed his pickup truck into a house.

Police were called to a home on Thursday afternoon after getting a call about shots being fired.

Capt. Tammy Carter says police found a Dodge pickup truck had crashed into a home. The driver, 53-year-old Dwayne Gaghum, was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot to the head.

The home has been condemned because of structural damage, and the family living there has been displaced.

Police have not discussed a motive for the shooting or named any suspects.
