Charleston police are asking for help identifying a possible suspect or witness to an armed robbery that happened at Citadel Mall on Christmas Eve.

Police say a robber approached a man in a bathroom stall about 4:30 p.m. and demanded his money at gunpoint.

The armed robbery happened near the mall’s Palmetto Moon store, Cpl. Fred Bowie said.

A surveillance camera shows a possible suspect walking through the mall, Bowie said.

Bowie described the person as a black man with medium skin tone, “high and tight” hair, between 5 feet, 6 and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 28 to 30 years old.

Anyone with information can call Charleston Police at 720-3034 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
