Authorities looking for killer of Darlington man
DARLINGTON — Authorities are looking for a man wanted for a Christmas Eve killing in Darlington.
Darlington Sgt. Kim Nelson says an arrest warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Jason Jones of Darlington on charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapon possession.
Nelson says investigators believe the suspect and several others rushed into a home about 8 p.m. Monday intending to rob 38-year-old Antwain Jones. His body was found on the street.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee says Antwain Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy Wednesday will determine how he died.
