HONEA PATH — Three students have been suspended after officials at Honea (HUN-ee-ah) Path Middle School found what they call a “kill list.”

Honea Path Police Chief David King said a paper with six names on it titled “Kill List” was found at school Wednesday.

No charges have been filed. King says the department has extra patrols around the school but he says there is no indication any violence is expected.

Some parents say they were told by school officials it was just a prank.

King plans to meet with school officials after the holidays to discuss the situation. He says apparently there were issues between a couple of students.

Anderson County School District 2 said school administrators conducted a thorough investigation and found there was no substance to the allegations.
