A man who was cleaning his windshield while driving down a street on the peninsula ended up running over a womanís foot Thursday morning, police say.
The wreck happened at 6:55 a.m. in the area of Courtenay and Charleston Center drives, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The woman was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by the manís truck, a collision report said.
The woman was transported to nearby Medical University Hospital, Francis said.
