Top lacrosse player to appear in local clinic Sunday on Daniel Island
Casey Powell, who has been called the best lacrosse player in the world, will be the featured guest at the Top Left Experience Tour’s lacrosse clinic Sunday at Etiwan Park on Daniel Island.
The clinic is for players ages 11-18 and is scheduled 1-3:30 p.m. There is a $65 charge.
Powell was a national midfielder of the year while playing at Syracuse University, where he was a four-time All-American. He has won world championships for the United States in both indoor and field lacrosse and was player of the year in both the National Lacrosse League (indoor) and Major League Lacrosse (field).
Other instructors include Peter Lawrence, a two-time All-American defenseman at Roanoke College, and Brett Manney, who played at Delaware and now plays professionally for the Major League Lacrosse Rochester Rattlers and National Lacrosse League Philadelphia Wings.
The clinic is a preview for the summer lacrosse academy.
