Two men arrested after fight and stabbing in North Charleston
Two men were stabbed or cut after they attacked a man outside a North Charleston Walmart, according to police.
Michael Sanders, 32 of Galatin Lane, and Michael Accinno, 24, of Summerville were charged with assault by a mob by North Charleston Police on Sunday afternoon on Dorchester Road after the alleged victim cut them.
According to witness statements made to police, Sanders and Accinno attacked a man, taking him to the ground and punching and kicking him.
Witnesses saw the 33-year-old victim stab Sanders and Accinno, according to a police report. He told police that while he was being attacked he pulled out a small knife out of his pocket and used it to cut one of the men on the side of the face, the report stated. Accinno was stabbed in the back during the fight, according to police.
The alleged victim told police he was hit in the head four to five times, causing his molar on the right lower jaw to break, the report stated.
Sanders was taken to the Summerville Medical Center where he received treatment then taken to jail in Dorchester County. Accinno was taken to Medical University hospital, where he was checked in for observation, the report stated.
The man attacked did not know the suspects, according to the report. The report did not indicate why the fight began.
