Accounting

David P. Brown has joined Mount Pleasant-based Baldwin and Associates LLC as a tax accountant and business consultant. He is a certified public accountant and has 19 years of experience in public and corporate accounting. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hampden-Sydney College.

Architecture

George Temple has been named executive vice president of business overseeing operations and finance at LS3P Associates Ltd. Temple also is a principal on the board of directors with Chairman and CEO Thom Penney and Chairman Emeritus Frank Lucas.

Also, Marc Marchant has been named office leader for the firm’s Charleston location, responsible for marketing, business development and professional services. In addition, Becky Smith was named leader of the firm’s Healthcare Studio in Charleston, and Greg Soyka was named operations and finance manager.

Banking

Jonathan “Jon” M. Presley had been named branch manager of NBSC’s Summerville location. He has degrees from Abilene Christian University and Troy University.

Construction

Richard Heath has joined Choate Construction Co. of Mount Pleasant as a senior preconstruction manager. He has more than 20 years of preconstruction and project management experience.

Engineering

James Berry III has joined the engineering division of Davis & Floyd Inc.’s North Charleston office. He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in biosystems engineering from Clemson University with a concentration in natural resources and the environment and a minor in environmental engineering.

Health care

Craig Hopkins and Dr. Randi Popp have joined Cenegenics Carolinas in Charleston.

Hopkins is the new patient development specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the University of South Carolina.

Popp is a physician. Previously, she was in private practice for eight years.

Law

Cheryl H. Ledbetter has joined the law firm of Gibbs & Holmes in its employment law practice. Previously, she was with Jackson Kelly PLLC in Charleston, W.Va.She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and a law degree from Washington & Lee University.

Nonprofit

Amy S. Mercer has joined the Gibbes Museum of Art as manager of public relations. Previously, she was a freelance writer. She has a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree in creative writing from Queens University.

Real estate

Daniel Carabus has joined Carolina One Real Estate as an agent in the firm’s Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. He has a degree in political science and Christian orthodox theology from the University of Bucharest. Previously, he was youth director at the Greek Orthodox Church.

Jennifer Szewczyk and Brian Pulaski have joined The Real Estate Experts in Mount Pleasant. Szewczyk works in client relations. Pulaski is a buyer/seller negotiation specialist.

Tracie Hendrix has been named manager of corporate-owned and bank-owned inventory at Carolina One Real Estate Services’ asset management division. She has been a real estate agent since 1998.

She has been with the firm and its predecessor since in 1995.

Retail

Le Creuset of America has announced nine recent hires at its Charleston office. Lisa Burnett is digital merchandise manager. Blaine Dooley is project manager. Ridge Johnson is finance, sales and marketing analyst. Liz Lantz is web production manager. Carla Cown is retail merchandising manager. Marla Loftus is retail marketing manager. Rick DeWalk is electronic-commerce technology manager. Braeanna Weber is marketing assistant. Lisa Elliott is senior brand manager.
