Horsham, Pa.-based NCO Financial Systems said it is looking to add 75 workers to it 600-worker local payroll off Leeds Avenue.

“South Carolina has provided us with an excellent environment in which to do business and provided us with exceptional workforce talent,” said Jay King, an executive with NCO Financial Systems.

The call center at 4275 Bridge View Dr. handles accounts-receivable services for utilities and telecommunication clients.

The expansion is scheduled to be completed in January. The new positions are primarily for call-center representatives.

As previously reported, the company began working with the state-run readySC in October to help it recruit and train employees to work the swing shift on-site and at home, according to an online flier. At the time, it would not say how many workers it was seeking.

The job required 13 weeks of paid training. Hourly wages start at $9.08 plus benefits and the potential to earn monthly performance bonuses. Hours are 1-10 p.m.

NCO has about 140 offices worldwide. The company is a subsidiary of Expert Global Solutions Inc.
