Charleston deputies arrest man accused in armed robbery on Johns Island
Charleston County deputies arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery that happened in July.
Deputies charged Tamar Jacquez Mikell, 25, with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, Maj. Jim Brady said.
The charges were made in connection with an incident that happened July 20 on Produce Lane in Johns Island.
Deputies say Mikell robbed a man at gunpoint while standing outside of a Johns Island home on Produce Lane.
Mikell is accused of taking the victim’s wallet and cash before getting into the passenger side of a red two-door vehicle and fleeing the scene, Brady said.
The vehicle’s driver has not been identified, Brady said.
A bond hearing is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m., Brady said.
